Second Annual Summer Reading Program Begins

PLCL kicked off the 2009 Summer Reading Program on Saturday, May 23. Interested? Stop by the library to pick up a reading log and learn more about scheduled activities!

Join us in the grassy area east of Perry Elementary for Movie Night Saturday, June 6. Co-sponsored by the library and Perry Pride, Movie Night will feature "Bedtime Stories" starring Adam Sandler. Popcorn and soda will be servedat 8:45 PM with the movie starting at 9:00 PM.

Our library volunteers have some great things planned for this summer. June activities include FairyTale Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM. Geared to ages 4 to 7, each week will feature a different fairy tale as well as a project. July Tuesday activities for our 4 to 7 year-olds will be more music based.

Kids Science Day will be from 10:00 AM to Noon on the first Thursday in June and July. This activity is for kids 6 to 8. It will require pre-registration. So, stop by the library or emal us at savemyspot@pllibrary.org to let us know you plan to attend.

Back by popular demand - Chris Warren will hold an Origami Class for all ages on Saturday July 11 from 10:00 AM until noon. Pre-registration is required for this one, so stop by the library or email us at savemyspot@pllibrary.org.

PLCL Official Summer School Site
Judy Chamberlain with the school district has set PLCL as a summer school site. Students involved in Study Island Training can use laptops loaned to the library for completing these studies. Students must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Computer use is on a first come - first served basis during regular library hours. If you are involved in Study Island Training and have questions, stop by the library.
